On the Road - Ohio - 7/5/2016

We slept in a little this morning, had breakfast, packed lunch and hit the road to Dayton.  For lunch we just stopped at a rest area.  We arrived at Dayton and started to look for the Wright-Patterson AFB FamCamp.  I had a set up the GPS coordinates for the camp but when we got to the location we couldn't see any signs of a RV campground.  After about a 1/2 hour of driving around we finally found the campground.  As it turned out the GPS coordinates were very close but we were on the outside of the base.  Once we drove onto the base we found the campground just the other side of some woods from where the GPS had taken us.

Here we are set up at our camp site.

Here is a view of the campground.  Very good facilities.  There was a camp host, a person who lives on one of the sites for free in exchange for helping other campers and doing minor maintenance.  The host was very helpful to us.  We had initially been assigned a site that did not have any sewer connections but she was able to get us on to a site with full services.

Tomorrow we will pick up a rental car and then spend the day visiting the Air Force Museum.  It's been many years since we last were here and it is now a lot larger.
