Today we got an early start and were rolling by 9:15 AM. Breaking camp takes some work as you need to check the engine and tires, empty and flush out the black water tank (toilet bowl), empty gray water tank (sinks and shower), put away sewage hose, disconnect water and electrical connections, shut off air conditioner, refrigerator and water heater, retract slide outs (3) and retract the jacks. Takes about 45 minutes.
Pat had packed sandwiches so we stopped at a rest area for a chance to stretch our legs and have lunch. We were able to find a picnic table in the shade of some trees and had a nice lunch.
Back on the road, we arrived in Bloomington about 3:00 PM as there was a one hour time change. Stopped by the Enterprise store to pick up our rental car but as we were early, it wasn't ready yet. So we drove to our camp ground in the town of Carlock which is about 10 minutes from Bloomington.
Very nice campground with a couple of minor issues. It's right adjacent to I-74 so a lot of traffic noise. Luckily the RV is well insulated so it didn't bother us. On the other side of the campground was railroad tracks but luckily very few trains. One thing that did bother us is that they campground is on a well that has a lot of iron and dissolved gases. So the water comes out looking like seltzer and then after the bulbs dissipate, it looks discolored. Luckily we have lots of bottled water.
No photos today. For the next three days we will be visiting with Pat's brother's family, Tim, Barbara and Tony.
